HBOT for cosmetic surgery or for cosmetic purposes
Scientific research shows that receiving regular treatments of HBOT may increase skin elasticity and stimulate collagen production, leading to reduction of wrinkles and fine lines and improvement in skin texture.
HBOT is also commonly used to prepare for certain cosmetic surgeries and speed the recovery process by about 33-50%. Depending on the type of cosmetic procedure, 2-3 treatments may be required prior to surgery and 3-4 treatment post surgery to stimulate and enhance the normal functions of the skin.

How HBOT works
HBOT works by increasing the oxygen concentration of all body tissues. HBOT stimulates the growth of new blood vessels that assist in bringing more oxygen to the cells of the damaged tissues. The added oxygen supplies the nourishment necessary for healing and the increased pressure causes the blood to take up greater volumes of oxygen at the cellular level which in turn, leads to a faster recovery and less scarring.
